AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Benedict College Lady Tigers were held to 34.6 percent shooting and committed 30 turnovers and fell to Augusta University 80-41 on Tuesday.
A 3-pointer by
Ay'Anna Bey gave the Lady Tigers a 10-8 lead with 4:35 left in the first quarter. That would be Benedict's last lead. Augusta closed out the first quarter with a 13-3 run to take a 21-13 lead. Benedict made just 4-of-18 shots in the second quarter, and Augusta built a 39-22 lead at the half. Augusta increased the lead to 61-30 after three quarters.
The Lady Tigers fall to 2-3 on the season. Augusta goes to 4-1. Augusta scored 37 points off Benedict's 30 turnovers.

Keondra Archie led Benedict with 11 points each.
Benedict is back in action on Saturday, opening SIAC play at home against 22
nd-ranked Tuskegee at 1 p.m.
