AIKEN, S.C. – The Benedict College softball team was held to just four hits as USC Aiken swept a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday.
USC Aiken won the first game 4-0, as USC Aiken pitcher Lakyn Phillips threw a no-hitter. The Lady Pacers won the second game 10-0 as USC Aiken pitcher Payton Baker struck out 10.
Deyonce Lewis had two of Benedict's four hits, including a triple.
Benedict falls to 12-16 on the season. USC Aiken goes to 14-18.
The Lady Tigers return to action with a SIAC doubleheader on Saturday against Fort Valley State at 1 p.m.
