Bridget Williams joined the Benedict College women's basketball staff as an assistant coach in 2018.
Prior to her coaching career, Coach Williams enjoyed a successful campaign as a student-athlete while attending Benedict College (2007-2012). During her sophomore year as the starting point guard for the Lady Tigers, she helped guide them to a 2010 SIAC Championship, going 22-9 and earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament. She was selected team captain her sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
During the 2017-2018 school term Coach Williams was the Head junior varsity coach and the assistant varsity girls’ basketball coach at Eau Claire High School.
Coach Williams started as volunteer assistant coach during the Lady Tigers 2018-2019 basketball season. The women’s basketball team finished the season with a record of 20-7. Upon being hired as an assistant coach for the 2019-2020 season, the women’s basketball team finished the season with an overall record of 27-3, became SIAC Champions, and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
Overall Coach Williams loves to laugh and smile but, mainly she wants to continue to learn and grow as a coach. Her goal is to push each player to their full potential while teaching them about life lessons that can be learned through the game of basketball.
