Benedict College Athletics

Theresa Laurente joined Benedict College in July 2021 as Director of Compliance, and will oversee all facets of compliance related to NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations for Benedict's 15 Division II sports.

Laurente has an extensive background in athletic compliance, with previous positions at South Carolina State; Alabama A&M; the University of Incarnate Word, where she helped oversee the school's transition from NCAA Division II to Division I; and the University of California at Riverside.

Laurente, originally from Tacoma, Washington, received her undergraduate degree from Washington State University in Sport Management and her Master’s Degree in Sports Management from Bond University in Robina, Australia.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Paws, traveling, watching sports and trying new food.
